My Little Trooper!

Caden did really well during his surgery. Everything went perfectly and the doctor said he did really well. He is home now sleeping. The hardest part is that he wants to walk around and they said that he needs to rest today. I'm sure he will be up and running tomarrow. Here are some pictures of his visit. He was so brave!

Playing in the Waiting Room

Climbing Around His Room in His Hospital Gown

He couldn't walk because of the Pre-Meds they had given him but he wanted to try :)

After the Surgery, Watching Teletubies :)

P.S. We picked up the Jeep and all though we had to pay a wopping 330$ we were blessed that everything was still in the jeep and nothing at all was damaged. We feel so blessed because usally that isn't the case when a car get's stolen. They didn't even mess up the ignition so we aren't sure how they started it. Anyway, we are very happy to have our Carseats and playpen and everything eles back. Love you all, Thanks for your prayers.

Caden Update

I don't know how many of you already know this but Caden is having minor outpatient surgery on Thursday morning. He has a Hydrocele (sp). Basically he has a hole in between his abdomen and his scrotum. Fluid is passing back and forth through the hole all the time which isn't a big deal unless some of his intestine slips into it and then he would have a hernia and need surgery. They said it would be terribly painful for him so we opted to go for the preventative surgery. It is a very simple procedure and we will be home by the afternoon. They say that he will be up and running with in 24 hours. I'm letting you all know so that you can keep him in your prayers tonight. Even though it is very simple it is still surgery so we are a little nervous. We will update again tomorrow to let you know how it all went. Thanks in advance for you prayers.

They Found Our Jeep!!!

11:30 and I had just dozed off when the phone rang. Usually late night calls mean that something bad has happened. In this case it was so the opposite! The sheriffs department was calling to tell us that a tow truck company had picked up our Jeep! I was so excited we called the company that picked it up and they said we have to pay 225 for the towing and 45 for the day that it had to stay in the lot. The officer dais that the tires and plates were still on so that mean it's probably okay all around. Nate's Dad is helping us go get it today. We are hoping that the car seat and playpen are still in it but if not then we are just happy to have our sweet little Jeep back! We realized when it was gone how much we liked it and how perfect it was for our family. As for the white one we are going to fix a couple of things on it and then sell it. Hey, do any of you know anything about selling a car you just bought? Do we have to register it if we are just going to sell it? I'll let you know the condition of the Jeep when we pick it up today.

Snow Day!

We woke up to Snow Monday morning. Caden was very excited to go out and play in it. We walked all over and Caden would touch the snow and then start crying because his hands would get too cold so we went back inside to put socks on his hands (His gloves were in the stolen Jeep). He had a lot more fun once he had warm hands. Drake was asleep in his sling under my coat. He didn't wake up the entire time we were out there. It all melted by night time but they say we might wake up to more in the morning :)

Check out our SWEEEEEEET Ride

Well everybody we got our new vehicle, don't worry about the dents, they are for aerodynamics. Those two lights up top, well they are to blind your opponent. Yea that's right, that 3" lift and those 31 inch tires, they are so you can roll over anything and everything that gets in front of you. Yeah, it needs a lot of TLC, but once it is detailed, and all the dents and dings, not to mention the mechanical and technical kinks that may be wrong with it, it will be a good vehicle. Kelly Blue Book price is $1500 We bought it for $1000. The plan is that we will fix it up enough that it will be comfortable to use and drive. And if we get our other jeep back, and if nothing is destroyed, we will sell this car.

Monkeys on the Loose!

In case anyone is wondering about the blog name change. We always call the boys our little monkey's and while thinking about a new blog name Grandpa Packer thought of Monkey Business. So let's see what the little monkeys have been up to.

Monkey Number One!

He's recently learned how to climb up onto the chairs and sit on them while swinging his legs back and forth! Its very cute but a little dangerous because he likes to climb on to the table too! He's also been building with blocks (Thanks Aunt Chanda!). Here is a cute video of him building a tower.

He's also been saying a lot of words like Ball, Uh-Oh, Bam pa (Grandpa), Eeees (Please), Mama, Dada and a bunch more. It's so fun to watch him learning. We've been telling him what his body parts are called and he can point to his head, tummy, and feet. He's growing out of everything we buy him! He's wearing 2t right now and they are big on him for now.

Monkey Number Two!

Drake is so sweet! He is still waking up several times a night which is driving Mommy a little crazy but we've got a plan so we will see how that goes. What's funny is during the day he sleeps like an angel. I'll put him down for Tummy time and I'll turn around and he's asleep! I just think, "Why can't you do that at night!". He's getting really good at holding his head up and he's starting to try and grab at things.

He can bring his hand to his mouth and whatever toy I've put in it. We've been having so much fun with Drake. Whenever I've left Drake and Caden alone I come back and Drake has a lap full of toys from Caden. I think it's sweet that he's trying to play with him. Caden tries to say his name but can only say one part at time "Dra" and "K" He never says them together.

Nate's doing well at work. Still no word on the Jeep so we bought a less expensive Jeep to get us by for now. Nate is looking forward to working on it. He lost another pound this week. He's now lost the wieght of Caden! He picked Caden up and couldn't believe he was carrying that much fat on him! I'm very proud.

I'm doing good too. Things have been great with the boys, just the lack of sleep sucks. I've been scapbooking and reading The Five Love Languages. I love that book! That's all for now!

Just want to share some Pictures

I love Drake's eyes!! They are so gorgeous. They look just like Nate's.
I put on this musical toy for Drake and Caden laid down with him to watch it with him.
Since we are without a vehicle we have walked a few places and this is sweet Caden passed out after a trip to Denny's.

Caden is Fine

We just went to the doctor and the white stuff on his tongue is not anything bad. It turns out that when his mouth was bleeding it was from him biting his tongue. The white stuff is just it healing. I'm glad it's not anything serious. Still no word on our Jeep but we are going to give it a week before we start looking for a new vehicle. We'll keep you posted.

What a Week!

I'm going to adopt Melissa's way of bulleting things when she has alot to say.

  • Caden's molars are all coming in! He's a Crabby Monkey!

  • Drake has a cold which isn't so bad but he's sleeping even less!

  • Caden fell 17 times and hits his mouth (lots of blood but he is ok)

  • I'm all of a sudden sick with a soar throat

  • Caden has white patches on his tounge! Yuck! He see's the doctor tomarrow

  • Our Jeep got stolen! Our brand new car seat and playpen were in it!

Quite a week Huh!? Some good things happened too. Nate is getting some really good jobs at work and he is down to 227!!! He's lost 23 pounds! The Weather has been nice so he has been able to ride his bike more. Now he has to ride due to the lack of a vehicle. Anyway, so that's what's up with us!

It's been a while!

We've been busy with the boys and I haven't been getting sleep because Drake still gets me up about 4-5 times a night! We've been having a lot of fun though. Caden is getting to be a much more entertaining playmate. We play games together and he's much more fun to take on walks. When I put his coat on and head for the door he stands next to the door and holds his hand up because he knows he has to hold my hand outside. Today we went to the dog park and there is a kids park next to it. Caden had so much fun he started to cry when it was time to leave. Drake was bundle up in the front carrier on Nate. I drove to the park and back which was very exciting. I really want to get my licence so that I can take Caden to parks more often. I'm going to start practicing a lot more now. I took a break because of Drake but I'm ready to get back in the saddle. Me and Nate have been working on getting in shape and being healthy. We've been going to the gym at our apartments. We bring the play pen and put the boys in it. Caden likes to watch us on the machines and we make silly faces at him to keep him entertained along with a basket of toys. Afterwards we let him run wild in the racket ball courts. Fun For the Whole Family! We've also really stepped up our eating healthy game. We've loaded up on fruits and veggies and we are paying a lot more attention to portions. Nate is looking really good! I hope to be joining him soon:) That's all for now. I will update again soon!
